The Rothschild’s giraffe can only be found in a few national parks in Kenya and Uganda and is one of nine subspecies of giraffes. Its fur-drawing helps to adapt to its habitat, the tree savannah: it resembles the shadow-play of the leaves and camouflages the giraffes outstanding despite its size. On average, giraffes grow to about 5.30 m in size. The record size of giraffe bulls is 6m. can weigh up to 1,000 kg and have a life expectancy of about 25 years.
