Giraffes have the highest blood pressure of all animals – two times higher than humans. However, they do not suffer from it, it is even very important for them. To supply the brain with blood via the long neck, ruminants also need a particularly large heart (11 kilograms) and a network of elastic blood vessels near the brain. As the pressure rises, these can absorb blood (i.e. serve as a kind of blood collection tank) and compensate for it. Closure caps in the neck veins – in which the blood is led from the head back to the heart in a normal posture – serve to prevent backflow when the head is lowered.
The EQ electric chain hoist also has a special feature that does not harm the device but ensures greater effectiveness. No load – high speed. With up to 30% nominal load on the hook, the EQ achieves 1.3 times the lifting speed. In addition, there are no electromagnetic parts or transformers built into the EQ, which means low maintenance.
